Ink Monster

Black ink

California Red Blend

Super easy to drink! Will be finishing this bottle tonight. Or at least I wouldn't be surprised if I did. It's not over powering or spicy. Just very very light, a tad sweet, and a tiny sweet finish. — 11 years ago

Behrens & Hitchcock

Ink Grade Cabernet Sauvignon 2000

Also magnum- the better of the two, more balanced - not quite showing the heat as much- smoother softer finish. Nice layers to this one..riper cab, but not too ripe. 9.1+? — 12 years ago

d'Arenberg

The Dead Arm McLaren Vale Shiraz 2006

Very dark opaque burgundy/purple with slight brick hue showing, India ink, blackberry, black cherry, some tobacco undertone, licorice, nutmeg and raspberry, full body and round mouthfeel, tastes of berry, pomegranate, pepper and cedar, chewy and sweet tannin with firm backbone, long finish with spicy notes and Assam tea lingering on the tongue. — 11 years ago

Torrin

Tsundere Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2010

4 hour decant and this big boy was still closed down. What little it revealed hinted at the monster wine this will become. Still very primary extracted black fruit, pencil shavings, camphor, mammoth tannins with fresh acid. Desperately needs time to open up. — 12 years ago

Château Lynch-Bages

Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1989

Still a young monster! Decanted for 3 hours, and still could have handled more. Nice fruit wrapped in spice and leather. Big tannins, but perfect with a steak. Great acidity. — 13 years ago
