2013 vintage. Garnet color, indigo hues, full bodied. Ripe plum, blackberry, cola, currant, cocoa, earthy notes. Complex, silky mouthfeel, medium finish. Nice! — 7 years ago
Dark purple/ruby red, moving to light indigo/brick on the edge, no sediment. Medium viscosity. Beautiful cooked, stewed ripe cherries, blackberries, and strawberries on the nose. Palette sees lots of sweetness on the nose, vanilla, sweet tobacco, some bitterness and stems. Medium mouthfeel, medium+ tannins, medium finish. A nice, solid blend, just wish there was more complexity in palette and a longer finish. — 8 years ago
Inky indigo, the wine has a beautiful nose of cassis and blueberry. Cedar, leather and pipe tobacco play large supporting roles. The fruit is as dark on the palate as it is on the nose. A sense of forest floor comes through as well, darkening things further. Just a shade of graphite shows up. The wine reminds me more of the Rhône than of Bordeaux. — 8 years ago
2005 vintage October 2015 with a steak after Indigo Girls. Really good — 9 years ago
The St. Supery Dollarhide 2010 Petite Verdot is dark, as in dark, as in indigo ink. Very dark. Blackberry on the nose is not a bit shy, and is joined by black plum, clove, sage, vanilla and coffee. The palate shows dark fruit cloaked in oak spice and a dusty mineral note, the kind you only find in a single vineyard wine.
Big tannic structure and acidity lasts for days. The wine finishes just as bold and brawny as it starts. — 9 years ago
Wow! Great colour, good balance and a lingering finish. — 9 years ago
Indigo Yard in Edinburgh. Lovely drinkable round soft deep red with long nose and wafts of smokiness. — 10 years ago

Great picnic wine before the Indigo Girls concert at the Mountain Winery. GSM milkshake. Yum. Went great with truffle ravioli in goat cheese and Parmesan sauce. — 7 years ago
This is why Napa Cabernet brings the big bucks. Inky in the glass with indigo trim, the wine smells of a thousand different feelings at once. Cassis, blackberry, pencil shavings, cedar, vanilla. The palate is just as complex, just as delightful. Very dark fruit goes hand-in-hand with minerals and oak spice. The tannic structure is firm enough to make a vegetarian want a steak. Quite a trick, because, as I understand it, it’s bacon they crave. — 7 years ago
Dark purple and indigo. Some figs. — 8 years ago
The winemaker calls this wine “blueberry motor oil that will stain your soul.” He also advises that you not spill any on your shirt.
A Central Coast appellation, the Cycles Gladiator Petite Sirah hits 14.8% abv and sells for a pretty incredible $11. The wine spent 15 months in oak, half new American and half neutral.
This is a dark wine, very dark, non-porous dark. There is no light getting through this indigo pour at all. Loads of blueberry smells jump right out, followed by abundant oak spices. A little smoky and savory angle sneaks through at the edge of the glass. The wine is very easy to drink, with fine tannins and beautiful dark-fruit flavor laced with that oak effect.

Cruz de Piedra means “Cross of Stone” in Spanish, and the name refers to the stone crosses that mark the Pilgrim's Road to Santiago de Compostela, which runs through the collective’s vineyards. Selección Especial is made of 100% Garnacha grapes from bush vines that are up to 100 years old.
The grapes are fermented in concrete tanks, then transferred to new oak barrels, where malolactic fermentation occurs. The wine is in oak for a total of about 17 months. Alcohol hits 14.5%, and the retail price is $10.
It is a dark colored wine, inky indigo with no light able to break through from the other side of the glass. The is a bit of alcohol on the nose, which makes me wonder if it might not be a higher content than indicated. Aromas of blackberry, plum, vanilla and a puff of smoke make for an olfactory delight. On the palate, big dark fruit dominates even with plenty of oak spice trying to take over. The mouthfeel is full and the tannins are quite toothy. It’s not a gentle wine. - to the extent that sipping it may offer some discomfort to tender mouths. Better to have it with meat - meat that has fat literally dripping from it. The fat will give the tannins something to do besides prick your taste buds. A heavily marbled ribeye or smoked ribs come to mind. — 8 years ago
This wine is deep and dark. The inky indigo color telegraphs the nose, exploding with blue and black berries and cassis, a whiff of campfire smoke and a mountain of prehistoric terroir. The palate is laden with dark fruit, too, not to mention spice and earth. The sage and rosemary linger into a finish that won't let you forget them. The tannic structure is fit for meat and aging while the acidity refreshes and causes the mouth to water. Beautiful work, Mike Sinor. — 9 years ago
Malbec/ CS/Merlot - bright and fresh with robust tannin and mineral complexity. Elegantly powerful and well balanced. Name means blue indigo which is the characteristic hue over the vineyards at sunset (part of the 7 skies "Sette ciele" layered") — 9 years ago

There are expensive chardys coming from Beechworth, but not all of them
The quality of the fruit is superb, well over the average of the country
Stylistically they use oak, but thanks to the flesh of the wines it is less prominent than what the classic oaked chardys were
In this case we have a little extraction of colour from the skins.
I like it, it has got a wonderful feel in my mouth
Beechworth is not only Giaconda. That's a good news☺️☺️ — 7 years ago
