Big, dark, mysterious, rustic and stunningly delicious. Right up my alley. I imagine if Tolkien's Middle Earth had a wine country, it would produce massive earthy gems like this. Get some if you can find it. — 9 years ago
Another Napa wine, a little spicy taste to it, right up your alley Michael. — 10 years ago

100% Pinot Meunier champagne? Right up my alley! Fruity, savory, mineral, & zippy. — 8 years ago
This wine is one of my favorite Zinfandels. The berries here always remind me of blue berries on my tongue. The one thing with more character than this wine is Frank Nerelli the wine maker. I encourage you to visit this unique paso vineyard.

Normally don't drink whites, but this one was right up my alley. Right down the middle of sweet and tart. — 9 years ago
Fantastic wine at $45, given the crazy prices we are seeing for the first and second growths. Shows the great 2010 vintage, almost drinking well now. If you like red Graves, this is likely up your alley. — 9 years ago
1986 Chateau Margaux Premier Grand Cru. Drank w dinner at The Grill at the Alley. Great spicy, fragrant nose, but we both thought it was a bit thin and acidic in the mouth. Very interesting and great w fish or meat. — 9 years ago
Gorgeous central coast fruit and acidity in this central coast Bordeaux blend. Tastes like a great Pomerol or St. Emilion. — 10 years ago

The ugliest label in memory--Las Vegas meets Depardieu in a back alley- belies a velvety, balanced& juicy bierzo. This is all about texture. — 7 years ago
Wow. This may be a new go to table wine for me. Right up my alley. I got a blast of Cherries when I opened the bottle. Decanter for over an hour. Now it's rye, clove, soil front. Solid round body. A tad hot at 14.5% alcohol but it works. Really really good buy.

So good. This Rosé is how I channel Rick Ross. Underripe strawberry and sour cherry flavors. Didn't get much on aroma. Dry and acidic for the summer party, sweeping the deck, club banger, or back alley with my black bottle boys. Rich forever. Forever compassionate. Don't call it medicinal, but you may be tempted. Boss. — 7 years ago
