Feudi di San Marzano

Talò Salento Malvasia Nera

Puglia. Approx EUR 15. This is my favourite wine, I went back to a restaurant three times just to drink this wine. It tastes like raisins without any teabag-ness, it’s the best of all the dried fruits. — 8 years ago

Primitivo di Manduria 2012

Wow. Who knew we would find one of the best bottles on our trip so far at a "hypermarket" selling for €30. Primitivo, I understand to be similar to zin, is one of the two great reds produced in Puglia. Very elegant, easy on the palate and yet held up with red orechiette. — 10 years ago

Alba Nora Isola dei Nuraghi Chardonnay 2007

Tropical fruit. Low acidity, pineapple, guava, surprisingly lightly salty on the end. Long finish - she keeps giving. Yes, she is a she. Flirty, light, seductive. Bright yet welcoming. I like her !

Feudi di San Gregorio

Sirica Irpinia Aglianico 2012

An incredible story as well a great wine. Back in the early 2000s, The Vineyard team at Feudi di San Gregorio discovered three bush vines in their Anglianico vineyards that were not Anglianico grapes. After DNA research, it was determined the vines were the ancient Sirica grape varietal. FSG propagated these vines and eventually ended up with one and a half hectares of this grape. First release of a Sirica Single varietal was back in 2009. This vintage is a terrific red wine. Aromas of dark berries, leather, herbs and violets. Flavors of black cherry, blueberry, black pepper and cloves. Velvety tannins and fresh tasting. Beautifully balanced. This one is special and will get better with age. I need to find more! — 8 years ago

Dubl Brut Falanghina

Minerality, white flower, white peach, delicate rose petals on the nose. Med body, high acid(wow), med p intensity, dry, bitter, yeasty med p finish with hint of green apple aromas. Good for shrimp with cocktail sauce but I drunk with pizza with olive, pomodoro, pancetta. Delicious apprentif. (Bubbles are not that tight, quite dry. Difficult to find residual sugar in this wine) — 10 years ago

Cannonau di Sardegna 2005

Tried with a Coravin. An interesting wine - perhaps in part because I seldom drink Cannonau - that is bursting the cherries and floral elements. Tasty. — 8 years ago

i Feudi di Romans Friuli Isonzo Pinot Nero 2014

Первый нос булочка с корицей в оцинкованном ведре. Потом мох и гнилая древесина, лосятина. Во вкусе простая, но стройная, сухая и минеральная кислотность, немного белого перца и пороха, бузина и клюква. — 8 years ago
