Ok Wine of the Night!!! You should remember this @Hugh O'Riordan — 8 years ago

With the context of Virginia as the terroir for cab sav, this is a winner. Chocolate and Caramel swirl in a sturdy full-bodied offering made by Michael Shaps with grapes from Monticello AVA. Acidity and tannins are reasonable enough to balance with black, fruit forward for design. what makes this a complete wine and worthy of accumulation is the long satisfying finish. Yummy! — 9 years ago
Man... The wine is NON-STOP. Rise up, Hamilton wine. The vineyard has its eyes on you. How could I say no to this? — 10 years ago
I enjoyed this one... — 10 years ago
20 percent chard, this wine is bigger than a New Zealand Sav Blanc. No oak, grapefruit, lime, jalapeño oddly enough and bell pepper. — 11 years ago
Still inky and scrumptious. Really wish they still made this. Should drink just as well for a few more years. — 12 years ago
Unbelievable fresh complex new world chardonnay! Respect! — 13 years ago

2014 Chardonnay week continues with one of our go-to wines. Apple on the noise and delish in your mouth. My second favorite Hamilton after George. Suck it Hamilton the play!!! (Tonight the role of Seger the Dog will be played by a bunch of elephants) — 8 years ago

Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965, with a goal to produce world-class sparkling wines. Today, their son Hugh, continues their mission. A blend of 88% Pinot Noir and 12% Chardonnay with stone and berry fruit aromas and earthy spice. On the palate the light mousse shows cherry, apple and raspberry flavors with biscuit and slight baking spice notes. Lingering finish, lively acidity ending with creamy yeasty tones. — 9 years ago
Second time around in just as many nights. Allowing nearly 10 hours to open up brings oyr a beautiful sweet raspberry coulis like palate which I'm seriously enjoying. Tannins have settled too. — 10 years ago
Delicious with easter lunch. — 10 years ago
Ok it's rum. Strong flavor, not sweet. And yup, over proof. I drank it neat and enjoyed it. V — 10 years ago
It's better than a hot pot of coffee to the eyes! Stunning Aromatics; every tree-fruit I can conjure is found on the nose alone. Serve only slightly cooler than room temperature. -Vintage 2013 — 11 years ago
