Effortlessly simple, not reaching for unattainable complexity - delicious nonetheless — 11 years ago

1969: The wine was clear when placed on the table, yet arrived back from opening and decanting (ahem) unfortunately cloudy (note to Somm's). Very fresh nose, while not withholding maturity. Vibrantly nervy and spicy entry, and lively on the palate. Meaty, chewy, table chatter suggested beet root, and positive comment regarding being herbaceous. Held up well throughout, should any bottles still be laying about for ready money. Had the same wine from same cellar 3 years ago with equally happy results. — 10 years ago
Wow! Bought this yesterday at a small shop in Nuits St George yesterday. Drinking it late night tonight at Chateau Lagrange. Awesome! — 10 years ago

Serious Burgundy- spice and moss- finish is forever- want to revisit in 2 years or so. — 10 years ago
Silky palate with cherry, mushroom, and forest floor up front and floral, tobacco, and cooling menthe notes behind. Brooding in youth, this is one for the cellar. Check back in 5-10 years — 10 years ago
Beautiful color, bright fruit, not sweet & no sediment. — 11 years ago
This was my favorite at the Moillard tasting room! — 11 years ago
