Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2004

Crisp and a little creamy. Pretty but not memorable. No hangover so maybe there is some truth to what they say about high vs low quality champagne. — 10 years ago

The Prisoner Napa Valley Zinfandel Blend

Fantastic! High tannins and with a nose full of full bodied dark fruit take a sip and you will taste the black current, dark cherries, and raspberries, and with the scent on the nose the taste will be amplified. Amazing bottle. Great with company and food. — 11 years ago

Olga Raffault

Les Picasses Chinon Cabernet Franc 2007

Had over the course of a couple of nights. First night was a classic Chinon on the nose and palate, although a little lighter bodied than many other Olgas I have had. Good spice on the palate and barnyard on the nose. Second night the nose was similar but the palate mellowed. A solid Chinon but not the best I've had. Still a good value in the high-20s. — 10 years ago

Bodega Colomé

Estate High Elevation Vineyards Valle Calchaquies Malbec 2011

Aromas of cherry vanilla and maybe blueberry. Very nice smell. Spicy notes in mouth and nice smooth finish. Very rich fruit. Delicious. — 11 years ago

Another wine courtesy of my Dad as a birthday gift when I was a child. It's not far from going over the hill, but it was hanging on. Dried strawberry and dried cherry, subtle leather, acidity was almost too high, but not unpleasant. Overall enjoyable but I certainly did not enjoy it in its prime, unfortunately. — 11 years ago
