Very big and complex; opened almost smokey and with tar - used a by the glass aerator - 30 mins later - wow - big fruit coming through but also smoothing out - still young. Very glad Hestan vineyards recommended I stop by this tasting room. A block or two down from Hestan, almost diagonally across from French Laundry. They are making very good wine here. — 10 years ago

Tried the entire hestan winery portfolio. A very structured wine with Jeff gaffer and rivers brown sprinkling their touch all throughout. This PV is one I could drink for a while. Loads of structure and not too sweet or candied fruits. Very nice layers. First time being made. — 11 years ago

Smoky and floral. Unique combination. Had it in Yountville 2/26 at the Hestan tasting room. Liked it enough to bring a bottle home. Shared some over dinner of roast pork loin with Dijon glaze. Spectacular! — 11 years ago
