This is for the cabernet merlot blend, which I had at Herzog Winery's restaurant. It was an absolutely fantastic bottle that went very well with our steak. Full-flavored for sure. I hope to find this bottle again. — 11 years ago
With Noah Herzog and Chef Chris Phelps. Damn good with the house butchered pork chop! — 11 years ago
Good sweet without being too sweet. Oi — 12 years ago
2007 - positiv impressed! A bit too much acidity but well integrated dark fruits and smoothie tannin — 12 years ago
Great sweet red wine. Almost dessert like. — 13 years ago
Cab, syrah, zin mix.
Heavy cab influence , spicy syrah , entirely drinkable now. Probably has 3-5 years drinkability remaining, soft tannins — 10 years ago

Herzog style. Very good — 10 years ago
Found this in a farm shop not far from Lodi: I love stumbling upon unexpected bottles like this. 100% Petite Sirah, upfront fruits, with substantial oak and tannins. High quality, ageworthy, and California at its least commercial and predictable best. — 11 years ago
Nice wine..especially after it opened up for a bit. — 11 years ago
Loving this. Blows away my perception of what a spatlese should be. Intoxicating nose. Dense and rich. Length and texture. More please. — 12 years ago
Slate. Dry, liquid slate. — 12 years ago
Sauvignon Blanc 04: similar in nose to Herzog sur lie, green, greengage, yeasty, leesy, savoury and nutty. Toasted?! Fuller, savoury, yeasty, with a creamy note. Light in acid but very interesting. Green, savoury, and nutty. Interesting long length! 91 — 10 years ago
Best wine herzog ever produced — 10 years ago
Astringent and aromatic. Made me think of a Muscadet crossed with a Chardonnay. I guess that makes it like Sauvignon Blanc. Never heard of the grape before. 2013 vintage. — 11 years ago
Aromas of white roses, orange peel, and creme brûlée. A soft, creamy texture is accented by flavors of honey, sweet cream, and a hint of lemon zest.

Sweet but refreshing — 12 years ago
Apple, peach, crisp, tart. Not bad for Passover. — 13 years ago
Ben Link
It's got a bit of a smooth chalky-ness with subtle berries and a brief burn down the throat. I'd imagine it's something Lawrence from Princess and the Frog would drink if Naveen let him. Maybe with some of those minced mushrooms? — 10 years ago
