Spicy earthy big with nice clean finish. Soft tannins that melt away — 10 years ago
A lovely organic from the grape growers in the upper mountains of Penedes. +500 comes from the fact the grapes are all grown above 500 meters, giving great depth to this wine. Raim500.com is a grape growers association, and this is their first vintage under their own label in collaboration with Josep Mitjans, winemaker at Loxarel. — 11 years ago

Great wine from Spain. Light, but funky. Tart with some minerality and red betters. Erin and I really enjoyed this. — 7 years ago

Bright yellow-gold. Highly perfumed, mineral-accented aromas of dried pear and lemon pith are accompanied by a suave floral topnote. Chewy, incisive and dry on the palate, offering bitter pear skin and quinine flavors that steadily flesh out on the back half. Shows firm tension and repeating florality on a long, nervy finish that leaves a Meyer lemon note behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2019) — 7 years ago

This REALLY needs 30+ minutes of air to open up. At first, it’s extremely muted in every way, and shows a bit of oxidative character. I almost gave up. Slowly, notes of lime zest, under-ripe honeydew melon, and oregano start to emerge, at first on the really long finish - the finish is what kept me from walking away. What is constant throughout is the pleasant, zippy mouthfeel which makes it an enjoyable seafood-friendly acid-driven quaff. And the longer I swirl and sniff and swish and swallow, the more this has to offer - purity, focus, balance, length - an archetypal Mediterranean white wine. — 6 years ago
