Very berry fruity. If you like berry fruity, then you will love it. However, $30 bottle. Worth it — 6 years ago
Very good. Paired with bolognese ragu over penne pasta and Parmesan cheese... home run. — 8 years ago
Beautifully rich and complex wine. It is oaky, chocolate, and wonderful dried fruit. The longer it breathes the better it gets. I'd certainly get more. — 9 years ago
An elegant Anderson Valley Pinot. Soft floral and cherry hints with some nice earthiness on the nose. Solid Cherry and plum flavors on the palate in a very delicate fashion. Nice structure leaning a little bit to the acidic side. A very good wine. — 10 years ago
Great length. Superb wine — 11 years ago
Really lovely blend of 10 different grapes. Lots of purple flowers and pepper. — 12 years ago
A great Anderson PN. Light, woodsy aromas, mountain fruit and spice. Tasty! — 4 years ago
Very surprised when I opened the wine list. My inner geek took over when I saw it was the same wine I consumed last week but a different vintage. A much less open and complex nose than the’11.
In the mouth this wine demonstrated greater freshness than the ‘11. Grapefruit like acidity put the fruit flavors at the forefront. Once again I was a little disappointed with the finish but I think in this case the wine truly needs time to unwind. — 6 years ago

Youthful and vibrant. Fresh black currant, mint, gravelly earthy notes, quite Margaux/Graves like. Smoky cedar, tobacco and dust. Medium bodied, with grainy tannin, good vibrant acid. Quite elegant for Chile! — 10 years ago
Yes please, Hawkster Pinot with pizza. Tastes good even with the giardinera and sausage. Silky, sexy and sensuous. — 12 years ago

No oak. What the fuck?! Waxy, oaky (if possible), almost nutty. Sublime. — 8 years ago

Tentaka Shuzo, Tentaka Kuni, "Hawk in the Heavens." Tochigi Pefect, Junmai Sake. My wife loved this with Sushi. Pretty fragrant with subtle hints of berries. Only had a small sip as she didn't want to share. — 10 years ago
One of my favs!! — 10 years ago
Fantastic silky textured mouth feel, concentrated berries coming through but not too sweet. Delicious — 10 years ago
Outstanding! Very well balanced. Bouquet is soft layer of white pepper and smoke. Flavors are velvety blackberry and soft black pepper with a slight tartness on the finish. Great food wine. " a little says a lot " about this wine. — 11 years ago
