Very nice white made by Grayson Hartley from Rhone varieties at David Girard in El Dorado County. These guys do great stuff with the Rhones. — 11 years ago
Deep deep dark fruits and big - mature and wonderful. — 11 years ago
A touch of spice, earth, tobacco, and smooth. So freakin' good. I'm Sideways after an epic day of cycling. — 11 years ago
So dry it's almost salty, this was bready and had cracker-like crunch to it, with a cider-like note, and no sort of cheesy funk. Paired with a green olive, transformed into green apple juice...I want this as an aperitif at my next meal! — 12 years ago
I remember the day I bought this. A Thursday night in August of 2003. We had just closed down the Hitching Post. Just as in Sideways. $22 / 93pts — 13 years ago
Served this with bison rib-eye... — 13 years ago

The nose on this gives off an impression of zinfandel, jammy and peppery red and black fruits dominate. The palate compares abd goes well with the charred mid-rare filet I had. I say 8.9 because it's a damn good value for a Paso cab, or really any cab for that manner. — 11 years ago
Some more Christmas Sherry — 12 years ago
Bold Syrah, paired well with the NY steak we had at the HPII restaurant and the bone in prime rib. Killer! — 12 years ago
A tasty Syrah from Hiching Post. — 13 years ago
'01, kind of shocking grocery store find. Mocha, licorice, spice and a little bbq smoke. Some black and blueberry hanging in there. Very good. What was it like in '10? — 10 years ago
Insane fruit forward Jamminess, but super tight until about an hour in. Let it sit, and it's a treat for an aged marbled steak. Delicious for the price at Whole Foods $19.99 — 10 years ago
Lighter less earthy than Highliner. — 11 years ago
Very interesting older Cali chardonnay. Enjoyed at the #yulwinethrowdown — 11 years ago
A perfect reminder that the point of wine is to bring us together. Thank you to the ever gracious @Leslie Hartley-Sbrocco for hosting, and Riccardo Illy for providing the delicious reason to do so. — 11 years ago
Some primary left on the nose, acid n alcohol balanced, soft tannin and long finish — 12 years ago

Very refined and Burgundian, definitely one of the more medium bodied Cali pinots I've encountered but no less for it. — 9 years ago
