Deep, rich, and sumptuous wine that holds all the best characteristics of a cab and merlot—blackberries and distinct bay leaf herb. Quite lovely. — 5 years ago
Just an incredible expression of natural wine. Handpicked, destemmed, old vine zweigelt and cab franc (50-50). Lightly pressed, no racking, no filtering and no sulphur added. Initial brettyness blows off in 1-2 minutes what folllows is waves of ethereal dried cherry, raspberry, Szechuan peppercorn, roasted pepper and beetroot. The pallet is reminiscent of pomegranate, cherry and humid earth. Otherworldly balance between the acid and tannins lead you gently into a finish that lingers long enough to make you smirk. Delicious and heady, but not heady enough to remove you from the pleasure of drinking it. — 6 years ago
Review:
Martini and Rossi Moscato d' Asti
From the region of Piedmont, Italy,
this wine is made of Moscato Bianco grapes handpicked.
When I tasted it the first thing I noticed was the aroma. It has a very floral kind of smell, and also has hints of banana, and maybe lemon. The body of the wine has a water-like consistency, and you can feel this when you sip it. It has a balanced kind of taste. Not too sweet and not too acidic. Very pleasant overall. I certainly recommend it. — 7 years ago
Really nice wine with a light pasta — 7 years ago
Intense complex nose. The wine is at the end of its peak or even beyond it. Variety of tertiary aromas present: confiture, cellar, cooked vegetables, leather, balsamic. Dark fruits and spices. Expressive acidity. Handpicked Syrah from Ampius village. MLF and then 18 months aging in barriques. Côte Rôtie of Northen Rhône wines are finely structured. Terres Sombres wine is typical Côte Brune. Rich and ripe. Powerful and elegant. Rating 4,1/5; WineSpectator 93/100. — 7 years ago
Close to nice Bourgognes , like Côte e Beaune. Very well done. — 9 years ago

It is a Handpicked reserve Merlot from Colchagua Valley. Not as sweet as other Merlot, has a nice bitterer taste, quite memorable. — 5 years ago

Hmmm. Interesting. Not my kind of drink, but it offers complexity. Great with fried chicken 😋 B&S write-up:
This oddity of a kriek beer is rare indeed, for not only is it from one of Flanders’ original lambic breweries, it’s also made from a near-extinct sour cherry from the town of Schaerbeek. Historically nicknamed the “city of donkeys”, as donkey-drawn carts used to transport this rare Belgian varietal of sour Morello cherries, the prized fruit contains a level of depth, power and concentrated tartness which is about as close to an expression of terroir as you can find in beer.
Here, 25% old lambic beer is blended with 75% young lambic beer (made with whole handpicked Schaerbeekse cherries), before conditioning in bottle. It’s a rather straightforward process but proves to be genius – bold notes of dark berries, cherries, citrus, earth and almonds are just the beginning with this captivating offering – pour it into a big wine glass for a special taste of oude school authenticity. — 7 years ago
Great Aussie Pinot Noir from Mornington Peninsula. On the noise you get great dark cherries pepper and olive notes. On the palate it is soft tannins and long finish. — 7 years ago
Great expression of Gruner Veltliner from Mollands, a small wine-growing village in the northernmost part of Kamptal region.
Biodynamic wine, handpicked grapes and spontaneous fermentation. Fruity, aromatic and delicate, with a pleasant acidity — 8 years ago
Incredible wine. Top five favorite. Single estate at 500m in the shadow of the Montsant Mountain Range featuring 100% old vine Garnatxa handpicked and hand selected. If you can find it, you won't be disappointed. Hints of tobacco, balanced leather with powerful fruit and tasty spices. This is wine's version of "Reservoir Dogs". — 9 years ago
Handpicked grapes, a wine full of mulberries and pepper. Great balance between acidity and alcohol. Colheita manual, aromas de amoras, pimenta do reino e pimentão verde. Bem equilibrado e um excelente custo benefício. Vale muito a pena! — 9 years ago
Produced from juice of naturally frozen grapes, handpicked at night in the middle of the cold Canadian winter at about 15ºF. Grapes pressed when frozen yielding a drop of concentrated flavor. Medium amber color with pronounced aromas of ripe and dried stone fruits. On the palate flavors of peach, dried apricots and honey marmalade. Full-bodied, high acidity, long glorious finish ending with sweet candied fruit. Outstanding. Tasting Sample. — 5 years ago
Fresh sliced green peppers for days on the nose. Well balanced. Great wine. — 5 years ago
Pronounced minerality and fresh cherry fruit finishing with grainy savoury tannins. From the relatively new viticultural area of Orange, this is an excellent example of cool climate Shiraz. Reminds me of the Chalkers Crossing (reviewed elsewhere on Delectable) which won 8 Trophies and grown in nearby Hilltops near Young. We gave this a Gold Medal at the The Toowoomba Wine Show in August 2017 and deservedly so I believe. — 6 years ago
100 % handpicked Chardonnay from premiere vineyards in Santa Maria. A marriage of California fruit and Burgundian minerality. A soft clay note that reminds me of Puligny. — 7 years ago
Most of the fruit is handpicked by Clendenen, largely from the exceptional hillside parcels that sit high in the extolled Bien Nacido Vineyard -- Shows Red & Blue Fruit that's Sappy and Structured. All in All, another of ABC's Poised & Polished Pinot Noirs from the Santa Maria Valley... — 8 years ago
Way sweeter than I expected. Slight apple taste, light aroma. — 8 years ago
Tasted at Study, Dr. Loosen wine tasting, with Bridget W. and Rachel T.
A dessert wine. Grapes were handpicked (auslese) and selected for Botrytus, with gives a sweet, honey flavor. Reminded me of sherry. — 9 years ago

A surprisingly good Malbec. Unoaked, fruity. Handpicked grapes worked fine here. Um Malbec diferente do que estamos acostumados. Sem gosto de gaveta, muito frutado, com uvas colhidas manualmente. Nenhuma passagem por madeira. Uma delicinha! — 9 years ago

This is a Chardonnay from Mornington Penninsula, which is a wine region I was unaware of (about 45 mins outside Melbourne). I was really blown away by this wine. Reminded me of a junior version of Cloudburst. Great balance, completely electric minerality......polished but not overdone. Best surprise wine I have had here (I am not posting the wines that have been disappointing). Restaurants here are too into the Arts series from Leeuwin, which is fine but a bit over rated. — 4 years ago
