Excellent wine. Deep taste without being overwhelming. — 8 years ago
Still quite young, but good flavors and potential. Currently lacks complexity and is more primary in its palate presentation, but still quite tasty. A bit rough around the edges. Needs time. — 9 years ago

This was a surprisingly good rose from NY. — 10 years ago

Wow...this is definitely the year to drink your '07 Drystack Syrah! It is at the peak of its plateau - racy, velvety, gamey, and demanding. Its fruit, acid, and tannin balance was perfect - lovely grilled meat, decaying lavender and vanillin spices, with loads of baked fruit and juicy black plum. The richness and tannic qualities had finally dialed down a notch to become a serious elegant wine. Kinda wish I had another bottle of this because it was my last one, and I'm happy and sad at the same time that it is gone. Thanks Russell Bevan for another great wine.
P.S. thanks for the inspiration to finally open my last one, ha. Now you just need to buy me some more because I fell in love again! @Ron R — 8 years ago
Light bodied with a nose of vanilla, plums, and red fruits. This ain't your average Syrah by any means. A spicy palate with some rustic undertones. A touch sweeter than I expected but in a good way. Nice, long finish. Not a lot of fat on this one but it still makes an impression. — 8 years ago
When this wine is on, it's really on. — 9 years ago
Bready, yeasty goodness. — 10 years ago
Outstanding for the first effort from Russell. It's the wine that punched me in the teeth and made a me huge fan of Bevan Cellars. Still beautiful today. #epiphanywine — 10 years ago
Still inky and scrumptious. Really wish they still made this. Should drink just as well for a few more years. — 10 years ago
I don’t think I’ve ever rated a three dollar wine this hi! Great blend from Rabbit Ridge that’s a short term but at TJs. Immediately got a few more bottles for it will soon be gone. Did I say this was 3 bucks? — 6 years ago
Another winner from Russell From at Herman Story. Great notes of dark chocolate, blackberry, and kirsch on the nose. Beautifully integrated palate with sweet, evolved tannins enveloped in fruit and glycerine, followed by a nice (albeit slightly hot) finish. Terrific. — 7 years ago
Delightful Pinot, amazing value Russell Bevan legend — 8 years ago
Second time around in just as many nights. Allowing nearly 10 hours to open up brings oyr a beautiful sweet raspberry coulis like palate which I'm seriously enjoying. Tannins have settled too. — 9 years ago
This was much better than I expected. — 10 years ago
20 percent chard, this wine is bigger than a New Zealand Sav Blanc. No oak, grapefruit, lime, jalapeño oddly enough and bell pepper. — 10 years ago

Still needs a 45 minute decanting. Russell is making some great Bordeaux style wines. — 6 years ago
