Very smooth. Little peppery. — 7 years ago
Great fruit forward Zinfandel. Easy drinking, typical Broc. Enjoyed with polenta at Flo’s. — 7 years ago
The 2013 Bodega Classica Lopez de Haro Reserva is medium dark in the glass. The nose is aromatic with violets, cigars, ripe plums and earth. On the palate, we find big, dark fruit, oak spice and a meaty black olive note. Tannins are firm and the acidity is lively, so it's great to sip as well as have it with some steak. — 8 years ago
Merlot driven Bordeaux blend on French oak. Comes out pretty classic, but with prominent oak spice on the nose. Long finish of dark fruit. — 9 years ago

Super jammy, and with much more subtle salinity than most Valle de Guadalupe wines. — 9 years ago

Deep and dark ruby garnet. Abundant nose of black cherry and pipe tobacco. Echoed on the palate with a stony mid-palate and a cigar box finish. Velvety tannins coat the mouth from entry to the medium long finish. Toro is probably best known (to those who know it) through really high-end wines that cost more and are less well-known than their fellow Tempranillo-based brothers from Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Darker and fuller than either, Toro at more moderate price points (like this one) let the wineaux experience Spain (and Tempranillo) at a higher level without breaking the proverbial bank. A great alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon (New or Old World) that’s ready for steaks, roasts, root vegetables, hearty casseroles, or any other “deep red” meal. Drink now through 2025. — 7 years ago

Wonderfully easy to drink. Great white. — 8 years ago
This white Rioja wine - Viura and “other varieties” - shows a pale golden tint in the glass. The nose is beautiful. Citrus and tropical fruit abound, with a stony minerality laced into the fruit. On the palate, the acidity is extremely refreshing and the flavors of tangerines and lemons are again presented in mineral fashion. The finish is lengthy and the tropical fruit seems to last the longest. — 9 years ago
My favorite Malbec of all times!! Live it. — 9 years ago
2012 vintage. A truly fruitful wine. Highly recommend. — 10 years ago
Big fan of this Malbec. Rose, anise seed and dark chocolate on the nose complete with tobacco and dark cherries on the palate. Continues to open and develop. Such a beauty. Two nights in a row I taste a great wine chosen by another German friend 🇩🇪 — 11 years ago

Rich and interesting with a little bit of a funk, but still feels elevated. Young wines are good but it does mellow nicely with some aging in bottle. — 7 years ago
