Little soil- like funk in the nose. Raspberry,,good tannins and some cigar- box. I just had a nice cab franc and this reminds me of it. — 7 years ago

I'm not sure of the make-up but I get a Bordeaux profile from this so I don't think it's pure cab. Very floral with hints of cedar on the nose. Dense dark fruit, licorice, tobacco. To my palate this wine has the closest flavor profile to TRBs own Rivers-Marie cabs. This was decanted 2 hours and probably could have benefitted from more. I'd say hold or decant 3+ hours for optimum drinking ....but it is a rich, expressive wine right now. — 11 years ago
Amazing dessert wine. — 11 years ago
Sooooooo fresh. — 12 years ago
opaque purple, prominent glass staining tears; aromatic, blackberry jam, fig, lavender, kiss of vanilla; dense, intense, sweet black fruit, slightly minty finish; full bodied, medium+ acidity, nice tannin/texture, 14.5% ABV; sourced from a single choice block of Larkmead Vineyard in Calistoga, 100% Olmo clone; drinking beautifully now — 6 years ago
Very smooth! Enjoyed on December 24, 2018 — 7 years ago
Strong apple and Chardonnay taste but delicious! Less bubbly than prosecco. Very enjoyable. — 7 years ago

Love this wine. — 10 years ago
Smooth and full bodied. Fruity profiles. Tannins to follow. — 10 years ago
Extremely powerful Cabernet. Thomas rivers brown has done wonderfully with this effort. Some from tench in oakville gives it a nice woody smokey palate with that great deep blackberry with a not too dark extraction. Very nice. — 11 years ago

I know is a cheapie wine from Fresh & Easy, but I love it! — 11 years ago
The darker side of Rivers Marie. Where all of the Occidental bottlings share red fruited characteristics this is more black fruits and fresh earth. The supporting acidity and the hours it still takes to open up give me hope that it should continue to develop in bottle. — 7 years ago
A little heavier than I remember but fully mature and fun to drink with friends. — 7 years ago
As good as any similar desert wines! — 7 years ago
☄️ Yes please. The missus says "Makes me want to eat and drink all night", I say floral, velvety and perfectly balanced. Either way, 👌. — 9 years ago
Very nice wine — 10 years ago

A bit more on the cherry cola rather than just cherry end of the spectrum than I prefer, but nonetheless nice — 6 years ago
