LOVE. Loire might be my favourite French region.
Some green pepper on the nose. Dangerously drinkable. Food friendly. Went well with spiced ground beef and rice, but this red would be a good companion for red or white meat, Indian dishes, or on its own. — 4 years ago
Сочная клюква, брусника, сладость малины, кислотность малины и белой смородины. Очень собранное. Почти гениально. Пил бы и пил. — 5 years ago

This really overdelivers for <$90 on the list at Marta. Very soft and pleasant mousse. Shimmering golden hue. Pretty red fruit. — 5 years ago
Deep red with ruby highlights, but Guillaume d'Angerville noted that this premier cru is typically softly extracted and light in color. Compelling, vibrant aromas of blueberry pastille, violet, licorice and spicecake. Incredibly primary and sweet, with its density leavened by harmonious acidity. Pliant dark berry flavors are complicated by hints of flowers and spices. This very pure wine has to be one of the most youthful 1999s I tasted this winter. Finishes with utterly suave tannins and outstanding length. This infant is just beginning to open and should enjoy a long plateau of maturity. D'Angerville described 1999 as "a magical vintage," noting that the yield here was at least 40 hectoliters per hectare. His father Jacques actually held back 4,000 bottles of wine in '99 but Guillaume has released most of these bottles by now to loyal clients of the domain. 100% Sémillon from Bergerac, of ‘Cyrano de’ fame. Very fresh Loire-style rendition. Medium-bodied with pecan, bread, apple with nice acid. Grapes are organic - hand-picked and pressed into stainless steel on the lees . Unfined, unfiltered and no added sulfur. 12% abv. I did not see a vintage but I believe this is a 2018. — 3 years ago
The debut of the very rare Les Peyrouses white blend. Viognier/Marsanne/Rousanne. Just gorgeous nose. Flint, hay, citrus rind, herbal, floral, so aromatic. Killer. Exotic citrus fruit like guava and mango as well. But substantial and engagingly mineral as well. So serious. Palate is ripe and generous, with supreme elegance. Juicy and mineral with insane freshness and acidity. Clean and has that crazy N. Rhone White minerality. Amazingly dry and mineral on the finish. This seems like it can age for 15 years. Stunning. Almost tannic. Love this style of white. @Delectable Wine this is the new white. — 4 years ago

Buttermilk & underripe mandarin on the nose with buttermilk again on the palette and riper mandarin juice, creamy but zingy at the end
