One of my favorite wines from one of my favorite Central Coast wineries, the Clone 115 Indigene is from their Small Lot collection (196 cases of this one produced). Single clone with no innoculation, this wine has an incredible brightness on the nose that one expects from clone 115, but exhibits more earthiness on the palate (maybe because of the wild yeast?) that makes for terrific complexity. Had this wine a couple of years ago and was not nearly as impressed, suggesting that this needed some time to integrate. Sad to see that Greg Brewer is leaving the label he helped to establish, but hopefully Chad Melville can take up the mantle for one of the best pinot producers in terms of quality/cost ratio you'll find anywhere. — 8 years ago
Still in its infancy. Intense acidity, soft undertone of oak, structured and layered with minerality. 2010 — 9 years ago

This is excellent. I'm always leary about trying something new but I have to say this one put a smile on my face with the first sip. Full body with a dark red color. The main thing I smell and taste is cherry. Happy Friday! It's been a long busy week. 🍷😉 — 8 years ago

So sad to see Greg end his label because his wines are the real deal, authentic California with incredible balance and sensitivity. Will miss these wines. My final 2007 bottle. — 9 years ago

2001 Case Basse Di Gianfranco Soldera Brunello. Drank w Greg, Y, and K at Il Piccolino. This disappointed. Kind of never really came to, one note, and went flat pretty quickly. — 9 years ago
Kudos to Greg Harrington! Wow! So 2011 was a "difficult" vintage. This wine is spectacular. Red raspberry compote with gooseberries and some other red fruits. Deep and dark with some incense and pepper. Did I say "Wow!"? Yes! — 9 years ago
2011 Cabernet Franc Two Blondes Vineyard
Another excellent wine from Greg Harrington. — 9 years ago
Nice complexity and fruit that is somewhat more acidic than expected for a Shiraz but works really well and with a smooth finish — 9 years ago

Wow, what a wonderful surprise. Rich, gorgeous Pinot from an extraordinary vineyard. I believe made by Greg La Follette, which explains a lot! — 11 years ago

I like it 'cuz I grew up on Greg Norman Shiraz. And if I'd been his caddy in '96, he'd be masters champion. I get he hits it in the drink on 11 being aggressive. I give him the 9-iron on 12 and say "if you hit this right of the pin, so help me God I drop this bag, quit, and you Carey your own clubs." I then personally line him up at the 11 green, he hits it center, two putts, and puts on the green jacket. — 8 years ago
