Decanted for 1.5 hours first - a little rough at first but opened up - tart cherries, ripe fruit, very round and smooth but tannins have a strong grip. Great with steak! — 5 years ago
Not too Puckery like other nebbiolos. Good balance. Great wine — 6 years ago
Pineapple and mango. Very pleasant and easy drinking — 7 years ago
Unbelievably classic. The mushroom, truffle, and red fruit just dances and the acid and tannin structure is so interesting. Reminds me why I fell in love with Barolo! — 8 years ago
I liked it!! — 9 years ago
Really beautiful. Lots of tannins with an intense finish! I'm having the 2011 — 10 years ago
Fruit forward, medium weight, rich purple color. Some smoke, black fruit, licorice. Chewy, tannins need some time to resolve. Long finish. — 10 years ago
Absolutely spectacular. Essence of Barolo. Cherry and then more cherry. Can’t get enough! — 3 years ago
Perfectly balanced , already very drinkable. Very fruity with hints of strawberries. Tannins are very noble on the background, only noticeably if you wait for it — 4 years ago
Lemon meringue and chalk. Complete and satisfying, balancing freshness and savor. Riesling-like energy. Always one of the most sophisticated Chardonnays from anywhere in Italy. #grasso #piemonte #chardonnay #langhe — 6 years ago
Lunch de Fête avec mon chum Luc !! — 7 years ago
Luxurious, decadent, full of youthful fruit but ready to drink now. Those 2009 Barolos are very underrated — 8 years ago

Waited 2 hours and tasted.tight. 2 more hours opened up but still quite tannic but delicious cherry tobacco. Some tar. Nice. Somewhat complex but felt needed more time but delicious as is. — 4 years ago
Like! Pleasure. — 9 years ago
A wonderful "starting to get" mature Barolo, decanted for almost one hour, tannins are rounder than few years back and well integrated, a pleasure to drink, a full and deep Barolo with character, an expressive wine made of Nebbiolo - Honest expressions of the terroir of Monforte d'Alba, which generally produces a bigger, more tannic style of Barolo than those from La Morra or Barolo itself. — 10 years ago
Earthy. Ripe. Beautiful. — 10 years ago
Could not stop drinking this. — 11 years ago

Fresh and dried cherries, roses, dry leaves, cinnamon, and blood oranges. HIGH acid and tannins—this needed salty and savory food to feel complete. (Still many years ahead of it!!) — 3 years ago
