Joie Muscat 2018 — 5 years ago
Extremely complex and full of acidity. Aromatics of lemon, Granny Smith apple, basil, wet stones and rubber. The pallet features flavors of lemon pith, peach, green apple and slate. Straw colored and lively. Hint of fruity sweetness on the finish. Nice FLX expression of this outstanding Eastern European grape! — 5 years ago
Juicy and earthy at the same time! Wonderful wine made from Portuguese grape from an appellation I have never drank! Seen this around you @Ryan Colthorp ??? — 7 years ago
What a merlot should taste like. 2014 on September 2017 — 8 years ago
Love the nose on this one. More fruit forward because of the blend of Merlot with Sangiovese and one other local grape whose name escapes me. On the wine list at Nonna. — 9 years ago
This was light and just right. I will buy this again — 10 years ago
My wife wanted to buy me an interesting wine as a Valentine’s Day gift and chose the 2013 G.D. Vajra Kye Freisa. I’ve tasted a lot of the Piedmontese grape varietals, but never Freisa until tonight.
After a decent decant, the Kye, being a dark ruby color, was a deep, rich wine with notes of roasted strawberry, wild blueberry, black plum skin, rolled tobacco, white pepper, blood orange, dried herbs and hot asphalt. The wine initially seemed a little wild, earthy and gamey, but that blew off after a bit. Structurally, the Kye was medium plus body, medium plus tannin, high acid, and had a fairly long finish. Delicious wine that paired well with a fire roasted tomato bolognese with rotini. — 4 years ago
Lighter bodied with lots of raspberry and cherry fruit. — 5 years ago
It’s a bit unusual in the land of Syrah. But this estate is home to a little patch of old vine Gamay which does very nice things in the bottle. The wine has the bright, vibrant red fruits typical of the Gamay grape. But on the finish, there’s a kick of black pepper more typical of the Rhone Valley. It makes for an appealing combination. It’s complex, a little geeky, and highly drinkable – a mix that we find pretty irresistible.

Wow. Went perfectly with my Christmas Eve New York Strip with truffled paccheri & Cheese. Soooo smooth but with great tannin - very necessary for the marble in the meat. Huge cab grape. Little bit of blackberry and a lot of chocolate. Yum. Note: I decanted two hours in advance. — 7 years ago
Solid Nebbiolo especially for the price. A bit of tannin, a bit of pepper / spice, hints of cherry and (don't laugh) grape. Almost like a softer, fruitier petite sirah. Mellowed out after a day. — 8 years ago
This wine has new distinct and appealing expression of a little known but big grape. #vineandwine #husk #charleston — 9 years ago
M. Chiarlo’s Moscato d’Asti is also available in a 375ml which is a nice size to pop open after a nice meal. A slight effervescence wine with a light golden color. Aromas of sweet fresh stone fruits and citrus layered with a bit of floral spice. On the palate flavors of peaches and apricots with a grape-like character. Medium finish ending with citrus, sweet spice and honey notes. A favorite, great value! Grab a 750ml for a larger crowd! — 4 years ago
Great quality Texas wine. I was very surprised! — 7 years ago
Excellent blend of cab sav, Merlot, and cab franc — 7 years ago
Produttori Del Barbaresco's non-reserve offering is reliable and sturdy in any year. 2013 is no exception. Leather and grape dominate the profile and the spice notes and characteristic long finish are there. Pleasing while young, but a little more time will only add to your pleasure. — 8 years ago

Primarily made with the native Cataratto grape, this Sicilian white features fresh and fruity aromas of yellow apple, peach, white flowers and a touch of lemon zest. Same fruits on the pallet. Hint of saline on the finish. Mild (but tangy) acidity helps this wine to be quite thirst quenching and refreshing. Straw gold color and lovely texture. — 4 years ago
