Limpid pale garnet red. Earthy sous-bois notes complement aromas of ripe black plums, red berries, and hibiscus. Plummy on the palate with a greenish cast, there are flavors of beets, blood, and black fruits. This wine is bigger, more brooding and earthy than Inman's Olivet Grange Vineyard Pinot Noir (2010, tasted recently). It's the yang to that wine's yin; both are wonderful. 13.8% abv | $68 (sample) — 11 years ago
