My favorite hometown beer. So well balanced. Used it in my steamed mussels dish. Also pairing well with these pan seared scallops and sous vide shrimp.

I was really surprised to see beer bottle cap on a wine bottle. So it was unique for me as well as it was my first wine from Hawke's bay. Lifted with passionfruit and other tropical fruits and lime, floral and grassy notes as well. Rich texture. Long finish. Lively and very refreshing. — 11 years ago

This is an Oktoberfest beer that doesn't try too hard and makes for a refreshing fall beer. Hints of caramel and apricot in this tasty brew. Recommended in a glass — 11 years ago

My Super Bowl XLIX beer of choice & tribute to muddy waters!!! — 11 years ago
I will start out by saying, Pils are one of my least favorite styles of beer, I find them too light and watery, this one is not the case, even though I have enjoyed hoppy Pils, this one again redefines the style, it is true to the style without going overboard in hop profile, the hops and yeast are very balanced, I cannot imagine any beer geek who would at the very least find this good, I find it very good, and again not my personal style, would drink and buy this again, especially in the warmer weather — 10 years ago
