Expressive nose of sweet and sour cherries, blue berries, incense, and dried flower. Round and bright palate with medium to high acidity and soft bittersweet tannins. We went after finding a few bottles after we tasted the 2014. Nose of crushed flowers, tobacco, tar, and a dollop of asian spices. Oh soo good in the mouth, relatively accessible but prominent tannins and will do much better in 5 to 7 years. Our kind of Barolo, phenomenal with food. Top stuff. — 3 years ago

Exactly what I am looking for in a Brunello. Lovely balance of fruit and acidity. Typical Sangiovese characteristics coming through. Tertiary aromas of mushrooms and smoke starting to appear. At a perfect stage for drinking now. — 6 years ago

One of last bottles I bought in 2004 in Italy at winery. Absolutely gorgeous nose. Cherry, floral, Coca Cola. Still has lots of fruit smooth tannins and great length. Drinking window by professional stated through 2015. Has at least 5 years in my mind. — 10 years ago
