Nice earth. Fresh. Light fruit. Juicy entry. Good length. Lighter. Very nice and elegant. — 8 years ago
2009. Only one plot at Silver Oak affected. Today, a family member commented that CA wines may be all gone. I responded I'd rather never drink another glass but have all those innocent people and homes back. In the meantime, we continue to drink our Napa faves in our cellar- it's Friday, so this one's a magnum. #NapaFire — 8 years ago

I do believe this is thee* best $8.00 bottle of wine I can ever remember buying. *cheers* — 9 years ago
I bought all of this that I could find.
Some 9+ bottles. It was a wine inexpensive enough to open whenever, and when it was gone I only lamented its passing without coveting. If you run into any in the $30 range, snap them up and drink them. Gattinara at twice the price is unnecessary. Much better than their Spanna. — 9 years ago
Had the tempranillo a few months ago, this time it’s the grenache. It’s still wickedly young but putting out loads of cherry and watermelon juiciness and then immediately takes a turn into that rocks district funk. Always impressive how that shines through even when these wines are fresh. — 6 years ago

A nice Grande Cuvee by Krug. I didn't get to have much of this at all. I do remember that this one had a hair pin trigger on it! I let it breathe for a bit. This one had a nice straw colored hue. Lots of lemon and some nutty characters. Was going to come back to it. It was set down when greeting a guest, and gone very soon thereafter. I remember great fruit but thinking this one probably is still too young. — 8 years ago
Nose was gone and old with salty olives, but full and dark in the mouth. — 8 years ago
Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!
Amazed at how this is still hanging in there...43 years old! Fruit is almost gone, but there are still some dates, plums, and subdued notes. Pipe tobacco, vanilla, baking spice finish. @Mark Flesher brought this out and what a treat for everyone! — 8 years ago
Unfortunately bubbles have gone but a lovely aged white wine - pineapple ++ — 9 years ago
Wow...this 98 really held up beautifully given how much unfiltered fruit I was led to believe that it would be gone. But creamy zesty and lots of nuanced lemony and tropical scents. Guess this bottle worth of the hype and $$$! — 9 years ago
2005 Vintage: Been holding onto this gal for awhile. Tannis are gone so smooth drinking but not complex. Solid wine but drink now. — 10 years ago
The skinny youth is gone and this wine is now beautiful and delicious. Citrus and petrichor aromas. Delicious with fresh oysters and diver scallops. — 7 years ago
A real head turner. This tastes all at once like its aged and complex but young and fresh. Evolves with air and the dark fruits continue to come forward over leather and tobacco notes. This is still very young so it will be interesting to see how it evolves in bottle, but it’s so good now. — 7 years ago

Great night out with the girls! — 9 years ago

All gone. I absolutely love! — 9 years ago

At 15 years old, perhaps slightly past peak maturity but still fruit dominated, with a little tannin. Nicely balanced though only a trace of structure; very pleasant. — 6 years ago
