For tonight's grain de raisin, I chose a nifty label in my girlfriends liquor cabinet while she was getting her hair did. Very light red blend with strong blackberry or boysenberry flavors and tobacco finish. Tannins are pungent though harmonic with the grape's personality. Wine of the Day/Night. Great Aubert Sugar Shack Vineyard 2013. Very close to the 2012. Out of a MAGNUM too. The 13 has it all . Rich creamy, buttery with wonderful balance and acidity. The added acidity this vintage compared to past 12 gives this Chard more structure and balance. Weekend bash with Larry,Dr Bob, Dr Tony, Jim M, Marty Antimo and all there wives and girlfriends.
