An orange wine with some funk that does not taste or smell like varnish on the nose. Malvasia/Trebbiano. Tea, ginger, some tannins, dry wine. Love this producer. — 9 years ago
Favorite rum, perfect in a dark and stormy (ice, rum, ginger beer and dash of lime if you like) — 10 years ago
Rich golden hue; yeast, candied ginger, baked orchard fruits on the nose; toasty and caramelized flavors on the palate. Delicious. — 10 years ago
Fun "champagne" to drink. Wonderful ginger peach flavor was my favorite of the flavors offered. — 11 years ago
While chatting with winemaker and proprietor, Hugh Davies, I asked him what he thought about zero dosage, extra brut sparkling wines. He told me that his wines have more than enough acidity due to cooler maritime climate, after tasting the Blanc de Blancs I'm inclined to agree. A shift in the 1.0g/L dosage would indeed result in a wine that is too austere. This 2012 is superbly balanced, with sappiness and weight at the core balanced by pent-up acidity and notes of lemon pith, saline, ginger, and brioche. Sample — 10 years ago

I like ginger. I like Hitachino Nest. Together they are awesomer. That's all I have to say about that. 😆 — 9 years ago
