20 yr. old wines fresh as a daisy.
Fortified to 20°. N:Shoe leather, salt, treacle, ripe fruits, plantains, caramel lozenges, distant boats.faint barrel smoke.
P: old oranges, marmalade, puckering citrus, rinds, brown sugar, ( Demerara), so acidic and contrapuntally rich.

Very good quality with a solid expression of its provenance and a good length. Bruised apples, yeast, bread, iodine and a dry chalkiness puts this right where it belongs a good concentration on the palate which could last longer. As all serious sherries it is performing well above its price which takes you the question that everyone ask themselves, why don’t I drink more sherry? — 5 years ago
Mind Blowing! For a fino sherry, the depth and complexity of this wine is unrivaled. This is THE benchmark for all Finos. The previous reviews do a great job describing the taste. This is the only Fino that still follows traditional methods - aged under flor for 8 - 10 years in an oak Solera. Oh - and the palomino grapes all come from a single vineyard as well. Honestly, there is no better fino than this. Drink it with a plate of smoked ham and almonds or some strong tasting sushi. Enjoy! — 5 years ago

Not so clear in terms of composition, blind tasting says it is not typical Sangiovese.
Example of organic wine before it became a mainstream. Very good balance of berries and seems like it was aging in oak 3 years. “I make Sangiovese, the rest are making coke” popular saying of the wine maker 😊 — 6 years ago
This producer!!!! Amazing! — 7 years ago
The wine’s nose is vibrant and fresh with nutty aromas of yeast and salinity. A raisiny note adds counterpoint. On the palate it is rich and substantial. It’s very, very dry and has quite a long finish. — 8 years ago
95 Riserva Wow! Just an amazing wine from an original OWC that I purchased on release. Dried cherry and strawberry with floral notes, very Burgundian with a feminine style. Great structure with chewy tannins. I have always said that there is no Brunello that can match Soldera and the 95 is an exceptional vintage for Soldera. — 10 years ago
Awesome Manzanilla at 13 $, very briny. — 11 years ago

Dry but not too sour. Sip for the aroma and the loooong finish. I am not a sherry expert, but this is elegant. — 6 years ago
Fantastic Barolo - lighter and silkier than most Barolos, but plenty of tannins, dark fruit and mild tobacco for a nice balance and complexity — 7 years ago
Exceptional single-vineyard Manzanilla. Bone dry with an agile depth and weight. After 12-14 years in the solera this has a nearly endless finish. Aged manchego, chorizo, Andalusian tripe - versatile and dramatically lovely — 7 years ago
Acid, thickness and umami. Love this wine, I tell my whiskey drinkers to pick up on this. This stuff always blows my mind. — 8 years ago
Go to Manz! Buy it by the case. — 9 years ago
Technically 2010, though officially NV. Incredible. Ordered from NY but I hope to find a local supplier. — 10 years ago
Unsweetened caramel, toasted walnuts and cashews. Wonderfully layered with complexity and tremendous length. — 10 years ago

Atlantic Ocean, lite...Notes tomorrow?
192H Update:
Nose has fully saturated oak plank, moist almonds, incredible sweet & saline notes, fermenting green apples, white chocolate bar, white candle wax and fresh yellow apple slice. Palate has almond broth (does that exist?), dried yellow apple, chamomile tea, moist bread, faint green olive (?) with mild saline finish, faint acidity. Damn I do not drink enough Manzanilla! — 2 years ago
