Tasted at Enoteca Regionale del Barolo. Young and nice — 5 years ago
Nicely balanced, nuanced, and unique. — 6 years ago
What a beautiful wine. Surprisingly approachable and soft for a young Nebbiolo, while still showing the structure and harmony these wines are famous for. For the money, a 10! — 7 years ago
Serralunga grapes (as does the 2012 vintage), deeper fruit on nose, more spice/smoke/dried meats, really nice. Well balanced. — 7 years ago
Soft, lovely ripasso. Lots of cherry. — 8 years ago
Solid young, savory Nebbiolo. Better 2nd day - more integrated. — 3 years ago
Beautiful poise and intensity. A little drying on the finish. — 4 years ago
Nice looking bottle, TS fill. Brought to Grasings in Carmel, opened/decanted 4 hrs before. Reddish tawny, doesn’t look it’s age. Wow nose. Exotic, attention grabbing. Notes of tea, rose petals, black fruit, some licorice and a little menthol. Ethereal in the mouth. Needed 5+ hrs to show its stuff. Had the staff standing in line for some shared pours. Great showing. At peak but bottles like this one are going to deliver pleasure for another 10 years easily. — 5 years ago
Ripe purple fruits and flowers on the nose, with vanilla, baking spices, chocolate, cedar, and violets on the palate. Gorgeous! — 5 years ago
amazing. Could age another 5-10 prob due to the residual acidity — 6 years ago
Gets better and better — 8 years ago
Peach fuzz, pineapple, and sea spray. Zippy acid with excellent mid palate weight. Orchard fruits with a pleasantly soapy minerality to finish. Good stuff! Thanks @Ryan Maxwell — 2 years ago
Another Wednesday Wine Committee in the books. Great hosting by @Bill Makens . 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine all served blind.
Had no clue this sparkler existed. I knew right away this couldn’t be French or American...zero yeast and hardly any of those bruised fruit notes. This was super thin showing faint key limes, wet rock, and honeysuckle. Floral. I called this young vintage Cava. Don’t think these are meant to be aged. — 5 years ago
Incredibly floral nose. Tar, rose, lilac. Delicate mouthfeel with pronounced tannins and strong outline of acid. Raspberry jam. Fresh, well structured, excellent finish. — 6 years ago
Extremely good. — 7 years ago
Very good moscato — 8 years ago
Perfect pizza wine. High acid, soft tannin. Dark fruit, a touch of tire rubber. An excellent barbera. — 10 years ago
