Very good everyday table wine — 10 years ago
An excellent Zin blend when considering the price point. Not all jammy/fruity; nor is it full blown spicy. A great value. — 11 years ago

1989 ridge California carignan rose geyserville Sonoma this is a most wonderful wine with incredible aromatic complexity, silky smooth with fine balance. Lovely spiced fruit, impressive purity, very good length. #RoseRumbke thank you @RidgeVineyards — 10 years ago
What a surprise, from the farthest back corner of the wine cellar. Too cold unfortunately, cloudy from suspended stuff. Nice dark color with orange edges of course. Still showing some fruit but not the high notes; sweetness in the finish. No off flavors or weirdness. More nose than most wines of any age I've had lately. Bought at Beltramo's for $9, way back when, probably during sabbatical at Stanford 1984. Very nice with burritos from Anna's, a scene sort of like the one at the end of Sideways. A really remarkable wine, worthy of fine dark Swiss chocolate.. — 10 years ago
Absolutely love this Zin. Dark fruit followed by an earthy must. Smooth and balanced on the palate. Right up there with the 2011 Geyserville from Ridge, which was similarly excellent. I think both of these Re better than 2011 Ridge from Lytton Springs. — 11 years ago
