1997 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w McC and K at Il P. Didn’t decant. It was stunning. K has never had it before. Such a treat. — 7 years ago
2009 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Chevalier Montrachet. Holiday dinner w McC and M at Il P. We think it has prem-ox issue. Got better as it sat in the glass, but not the best version of this wine we've had. — 8 years ago
1996 Domaine Leroy Romanee St. Vivant burgundy. Dinner at Bst w McC. Awesome! None of us had tried this wine before- we really loved it. It was spicy and fruity and floral. A lot going on and all melding together nicely- so no singularly overt characteristic. — 8 years ago
2005 Harlan. Drank at HB w RR, McC. This was everyone’s favorite. No decanting. Huge and opened up in the glass. — 7 years ago
1999 DRC Richebourg burgundy. Dinner w McC and K at Il P. Stunning. K had never had this wine before. Stood it up for 2 days before drinking. Decanted for 30-45 min before serving. “Masculine” was the description we decided on. Perfectly balanced. — 7 years ago
1990 Pichon-Longueville Baron bordeaux. Dinner at Bst w McC. Had this after the '96 Leroy RSV burgundy. We got lots of earthy, woodsy notes, along with leather, spice, and dark red fruit. Drank so beautifully. Outstanding. — 8 years ago
1996 Case Basse Di Gianfranco Soldera Brunello. At Charcoal w McC. So different to drink this after the Dujac Chambolle Musigny. This was also tight at first, despite more than an hour of decanting. Vegetal, mineral, dirt- very earthy notes all around. Great w steak. — 9 years ago
Genevieve say this is drinkable. Surprise. goes well with the duck confit. — 9 years ago
1990 E. Guigal La Landonne Cote Rotie Burgundy. Drank w David, Andy, Lisa, McC at Cassia. This was a beautiful wine. Meaty, olive, earthy notes on the nose. Great. — 10 years ago

2014 COS Nero d’Avala. Dinner at Gracias w McC and K. We love this wine. Easy to drink without food, but substantial enough for food as well. — 7 years ago
WoW loved it. Genevieve and François got a taste and loved it. — 8 years ago
Originally a collaboration between the late great Marcel Lapierre, Jean-Claude Chanudet and Joseph Chamonard, the vines are now managed by Jean-Claude & Genevieve Chanudet, carbonic maceration, wild yeast, grapes aged in 200 year-old foudres, explosion of red & blue fruits, not much tannin or acid, just pure fruit deliciousness. It won't change your life but damn this is brilliant for the price. — 8 years ago
OK so we got these three because of Brian McC of Somm ...still a God amongst us... But this one I sat on for a year and carried all over The US and I always learn something new about wine when I drink Maxime's wine — 9 years ago
