What a wine. I look down to see the 2020-2025 drinking window on Cellartracker, and can't help but thinking that this probably would be the best window if I had any willpower at all. Unfortunately I don't...therefore find the cork out of this one after a 2012 Gargiulo G Major 7 has been successfully polished. This has to be one of the better Cabs coming out of Geyserville IMO, and this producer knows a thing or two about cab having planted the first cab vines in Alexander Valley. Powerful blackberry and meaty nose. The entry is all blackberry, medium+ to full bodied, with a licorice note in the middle, leather and spice. Finishes very stiff, and this is where I think this wine will improve in the next five years. But this one is in NO HURRY of showing its complexity. Already drinking rather well and very happy that I have a mag of this one set aside. — 8 years ago
Delightful, light and very tasty — 9 years ago
Who says 2011 was a bad year? Beautiful garnet from the glass. Elegant floral and blue fruit on the nose. Deep blueberry, black berry and currant tastes on the palate. Excellently structured with sweet tannins and beautiful acidity. These grapes come from a great Oakville neighborhood. Great family owned winery! — 10 years ago
A Great night to say the least:
Magnum of Gargiulo money ranch road,
2000 Bryant, 25 year Macalllan. Totally forgot to post this pick from a few weeks back!
The Bryant drank as good as any French Bordeaux that I’ve ever had. The money ranch toad was mediocre in comparison and the 25 year Macallan was 2nd only to the amazing company we had in our house that night!!
Great times to say the least!

In magnum. Pizza Sunday! — 9 years ago
Completely approachable. Coffee and currant on the nose with a hint of vanilla. Beautifully structured - tannins are there but fade into the background. Will look for more! — 11 years ago
Another 4th Friday for the books. What a much needed time out of the house and to be with friends after this past week.
Every aspect of this wine is Oakville. Nose and palate were identical...a powerful blackberry mid-palate note, graphite/lead, floral and herbal, overload of plums. These wines give Gargiulo and other Oakville Cabs a lesson in sheer power. Tannic structure for days, but it doesn’t bite like mountain AVAs. It’s soft, plush, and accentuates the fruit at this young age. — 8 years ago
What a way to start off our 2018 Napa trip than with incredible views up at Jack Winery!
Arnyca tastes their wines here, which is a household favorite. The rosé is a top 3 for me, including the Gargiulo Rosato. Kiwi, grapefruit, watermelon and beautiful acidity. — 8 years ago

Well priced for a restaurant wine list and very cool decanter, but beyond that not all that memorable.....after tasting Gargiulo, Vineyard 29, Neal, and Matthiasson the last two days my comments may be skewed for oh so obvious reasons!! — 11 years ago

Drinking well now. Still nice to aerate for a bit. Plum, dark red ripe fruit. I prefer the 575 OVX but this is nice. — 6 years ago
