Medium straw colour with a beautiful mousse. On the nose, lemon, pear, yeast and toast. Nice light body with perfect tiny bubbles that made the perlage super velvety in the mouth, a nice contrast to the crisp acidity. Notes of asian pear, white peach and apple, lemon and at times almost like ethanol and some toast with lingering hazelnut and ginger on the long finish. Not sure if our bottle was slightly off with the ethanol taste that came up once in a while. Will have to try another bottle. For science. — 3 years ago

Txakolina rosé tasting on the 2020 Summer Solstice, perfect for a hot/humid day in the Berkshires. Last bottle from our cellar. — 5 years ago
The ideally rounded Blanc de blanc. Perfect for any occasion. — 5 years ago
Tasted blind. Tawny color, translucent with amber rims. Notes of black cherry, cedar, some spice and a little barnyard floor. Sweet fruit in the mouth, with tannins fully resolved. Guessed 1955 Calon Segur. Perfect looking bottle, the cork revealed this bottle was reconditioned by the Chateau in 2000. — 6 years ago
Consistently perfect! — 8 years ago
So perfect!! Deep cherry with earth and a bit of bramble! Second time enjoying a bottle of this gem! — 9 years ago
One of the best red i've had, well balanced with perfect complexity — 9 years ago
My favorite Sauvignon blanc - very fruity (citrus, tropical) without being overly sweet, which is perfect. Not as herbaceous/mineraly as Loire SBs. The 2014 vintage isn't as good, unfortunately.

Mag- glad I still have a 750 & a 1.5, perfect gift for someone I know who turns 40 next year! — 11 years ago
This is stunning. A beautiful nose of bright fruit with fresh lemon and yellow flowers and hints of secondary notes coming through. On the palate gorgeous full sweet fruit with some brioche and lemon oil and perfect balance. Long and seductive and wonderfully pitched. Really good. — 2 years ago
Beautiful, beautiful wine. The last 96 we had was maybe a smidge more together but it’s marginal. Quite dark in the glass. Deep restrained red fruit on the nose. Tannins are slightly dusty but overall very seamless. Excellent refreshing acid. Perfect with a dry aged strip steak. — 5 years ago
Finally a night or weekend we weren’t working on our rental, rushing to get some Christmas shopping done or getting ready to entertain holiday guests. It’s a night for us to chill out. That’s a good thing. It is also our final night to enjoy all our Christmas candlelights before we pack up tomorrow. 😔
We didn’t even enjoy any of one our very favorite N/V Rosé Champagnes over the holidays.
Tastes really good tonight. Showing shades of carbonated Dreamsicle or Creamsicle. However, you remember them growing up. Rich, ripe, candied & lean; black cherries, strawberries, cherries and summertime leaner watermelon. Baguette, grey volcanics, sea spray and finely powdered, razor sharp chalkiness with candied, pink rose pedals. Perfect, crisp, lively acidity and long, rich, well polished & balanced finish with persistence.
Hope you all have had a great start to 2020! — 5 years ago
When we open from 1987, we expect everything. One thinks of its conservation in cellar, the risk that it is passed or incredible, with the tannins having evolved in this vial ... The cork pulled-out, in perfect state and one knows in advance that one hit the jackpot and that it will be phenomenal. A coppery robe, a complex nose with aromas of black and floral fruits. In the mouth, an explosion of flavors that take the length and makes us go back in time. A very large estate for an incredible wine, to fall 😍🍷 — 7 years ago
Outstanding! There is the perfect moment for a bottle to be opened and tonight was it. It was the wine equivalent of a album that you can listen to from start to finish. — 9 years ago
Perfect for Easter dinner — 9 years ago
1989 vintage. A near perfect bottle with loads of ripe dark fruit flavors and classic Rutherford dust additions. Sweet tannins still providing structure and grip, and it's American oak treatment nicely integrated. Long, satisfying finish, where fruit, acidity and minerality comes in waves. Very, very impressive and behaving 10 years younger than it actually is. — 9 years ago
Slightly bubbly on opening. Moderate sweetness, rich tropical fruit flavors. Perfect with spicy Asian stir fry. — 10 years ago
So many flavors. Balanced. Perfect acid and tannins combination. Very long. Could easily age for years. — 5 years ago
We chose this as our Thanksgiving wine. I thought it would be a little robust for turkey and ham, but it was just perfect. Everyone loved it. Great memory... — 5 years ago
Funk and leather on the nose. Very well balanced with fruit, earth and herbs covering the palate. Great finish. Perfect time to drink the 96 — 8 years ago
Back in the good ol' days of Silver Oak...I bought several on release knowing very little what my wine future would hold. Cellared perfect, green/bell pepper and straight up dust on the nose. Plenty of fruit and tannins with bright acidity. Mouth fills with a ting of cherry, cola and a mineral element. Finish comes then goes. Hint of spice on the back side. — 8 years ago
Blackberry, on the nose a bit herbaceous, a bit grassy, but while tasting, perfect pairing with entree of New York steak . — 9 years ago
Musky tones, just amazing smell. Lighter on the palate, sappy and still plenty of acidity perfect for all the meats at dinner — 11 years ago

Judging by the other reviews, this is underrated. Perfectly good Provence rosé. With a perfect cheese fondue on a cloudy afternoon. — 8 months ago
