Ready to kick ass and take names. This wine is brilliant. Nose of blackberry, chocolate, iodine, flint. Full bodied palate of youthful and thick black fruit, espresso bean, almond, hint of licorice, hint of mint. Finishes with a slightly tame acidity, black pepper and still fairly youthful tannin. This wine doesn't seem like it has aged much at all. For a 2012, does not taste anywhere close to 6 years post vintage. Moon mountain fruit is hard to beat when done well. This wine is a 'must have' in your cellar. Went really well with turkey dumpling soup! — 6 years ago
Tasting well. Full bodied Pinot with cherries and strawberries notes, along with some darker red fruit. Has really nice balance of structure and acidity. — 6 years ago
The perfect wine for the full moon in Taurus. Rich, wet-earth flavors that start tangy but mellow out with drinking. A real earthly delight. — 7 years ago

Smooth, bold, full bodied. One to remember — 7 years ago
Intense citrus aromas with notes of pear, apricot and wet stone. Big, rich and dry on the palate. Flavors of lemon and lemon zest and citrus oil leads to deep, stone minerality, grassiness and full, deep acidity with just a hint of oak. The finish is incredibly dry and zesty with intense length and depth. — 8 years ago
Took Joy’s suggestion and celebrated the Winter Solstice and full moon with the 2014 Winter’s Cuvée. What a wonderful idea! And the restaurant waived the corkage because we brought a white chocolate ginger cheesecake for the staff to enjoy. Life is good. — 5 years ago
On the nose; ruby, dark cassis, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum, cinnamon, vanilla, mocha, caramel, dark chocolate, sweet tarry notes, black pepper, black olive, loamy dry clay & top soil, beautiful lavender and violets.
The body is full and beautiful. The palate tannins are; round, meaty and chewy, but much softer than the 15 Syrah. Fruits are; ruby, dark cassis, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, cherries, strawberries & plum, Cinnamon, vanilla, mocha, caramel, dark chocolate, sweet tarry notes, black pepper, black olive, chewy leather, dry stones, loamy dry clay & top soil, some dry crushed rock powder, beautiful lavender and violets. The acidy is nice & round, the long, beautiful, round, ripe, ruby, elegant finish is nicely polished.
Photos of; another photo walking their property with the Foxtails in full bloom. Estate Syrah grapes and an old large Chilean oak barrel they acquired from a winery they purchased adjacent to their property. Its doors open up as shown in the bottom photo. Inside it tells their tale of biodynamic moon cycle practices. — 6 years ago
