History of OFC dates back to 1995 when on a lark, David Swift Phinney took a friend up on an offer and went to Florence, Italy to spend a semester “studying”. During that time, he was introduced to wine, how it was made, and got hooked. A Grenache, Syrah and Petite Sirah blend. Aromas of fresh ripe red fruits with sweet spice. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry, cacao and espresso notes with sweet savory tannins, well balanced on lingering finish ending with toasty oak and sweet fruit. — 8 years ago

Now we're talking! Restrained nose, but it really takes off from there. Multiple red and black fruit flavors, chocolate and vanilla on the mid palate, baking spiced dark cherries and wet tobacco on the finish. Multi layered- what a wine! — 9 years ago

This beautiful 2005 cab was an anniversary gift from a great friend of mine @Jeff Savigny The vintage is the year we got married. The nose is so complex and yet so subdued, it practically blew my mind. A nose full of roses, tobacco, dark fruit and licorice with a hint of molasses and vanilla. On the palate very dry, with a faint aged acidity, yet very rich and delicious. You can spend just as much time smelling this as drinking it. This was a near perfect wine and a great anniversary present! — 11 years ago

Friend brought a mag over and this was about the best burger wine anyone could pull from any cellar. Low acid but restrained fruit. I don't drink CA wines often enough, this was a hit. Chocolate, raspberry, very smooth and round mouthfeel. — 10 years ago
