Pear, minerals with a slight salty taste. Finish is a hint of vanilla creaminess. — 4 years ago
Crisp, clean with mild acidity. The regular la scolca is really good, but this is better. — 6 years ago
The 2015 Barolo Gramolere is powerful and dense in the glass, with a good bit of richness but also less of the tension that is such a signature for wines from this site in Monforte. Cedar, sweet tobacco, pine, mint, dried cherry, licorice and dried flowers develop with air, adding attractive layers of complexity. Overall, the 2015 looks like it will drink well relatively early. My favorite 'champagne', this is what I drink for New Years Eve. Delicious without accompanying food, this bottle was meant to be dessert all on it's own. — 10 years ago
