A great, traditionally-styled Barolo. Long and complete. Dried cherry, tar, and roses all day. Finishes very dry with great length. @Lyle Fass — 8 years ago

Low tannins, dark and red fruits, med acid some honey aromas. Ripe — 9 years ago
I will say that this is too young & should be cellared for the foreseeable future. It does show some wonderfully deep aromatics showing balsamic & floral notes. A wine you can sniff for hours. Elegant & finessed palate with hints of smoke & a mix of red & black fruit. The structure is obviously prominent in youth, but the balance between power and elegance is something to behold. I'm not sure if I should have opened at this stage, but I feel fortunate to have had this. — 9 years ago

A nice slightly acidic Italian red. Not dry and has a touch of acidity. Great wine to serve over dinner, but more so to guests who may not be red lovers. Crowd pleaser. — 10 years ago

Carignano del Sulcis DOC 2011, 13.5%.
Bottle tasted in October 2014. Limited quantities produced with Carignano gapes from pre-phylloxera vineyard located right next to the beach and the sea, on the South West coast of Sardinia Island.
Color is a bit brown, but nose is quite rich: sweet, vinous, light pastry, liquored cherries, and even a little green.
In the mouth rich of smooth tannins and taste of licorice, almost a "chewable" wine. I really liked it! — 11 years ago

Orange wine. Slightly funky stuff. If tasted blind, I wouldn't have had any idea it was Sauv Blanc. Tons of licorice on the palate that lingers for minutes. — 10 years ago
Apple cherry ramato notes perfect texture and light fine tannin — 11 years ago
Great with olives. This is going to be great with lamb steaks too. Happy Easter week! — 12 years ago

Great cab franc from Uco, if you are into that style. Fruity (no oak whatsoever), but certainly not sweet or syrupy. Fairly acidic, and with a distinct mineral taste, like chalk or graphite. Lighter bodied than a cab sauvignon or a malbec (lighter colors, etc.) But still a powerful wine. — 7 years ago
