Birth year Bordeaux and this has been excellent. Very old school nose of copious tobacco, forest floor and dark berries. Medium bodied but gaining intensity over the course of 2 h - tannins completely melted. Bricking is apparent on first pour but the color grows darker with time. Probably the BEST CF I have ever had! Screams of French finesse and fruit. Had the sophistication of a blend with the pristine persona of a single varietal. It has a long ethereally sweet finish interwoven into structured tannins and ample acidity. This was like an M5 ready for any road. Just bought two more for the cellar :) — 7 years ago

Drank with my buddies Geoff and Danny. It's amazing. Here is the thing when drinking next to a 70 R Mondavi CS you really see the Bordeaux wooly aromatic thing. Napa is so clean and offering of florals and fruits, yet the Bordeaux had the forest floor and wooly thing. Both awesome but night and day. — 10 years ago
