Vibrant nose of ripe strawberry, red cherry & redcurrant, though not in any way over ripe, with a (would I say this if I had it blind? I don't know) note of volcanic soil mineral shizz. Beautiful weight in the mouth with taught, expressive red fruit that's almost weightless but has a delicate grip. Like Nebbiolo this seems to be light on its feet but with a barely hidden controlled power to the tannins and succulent acidity that would suggest good age ability (what would happen to the fruit though?) infinitely drinkable but annoyingly cellar worthy. Buy 12 and forget about 6 of them for as long as you can. Call me when you remember you have more in 5 or 10 years time. — 10 years ago
Good Cabernet character with a more approachable and supple mouthfeel than most. — 11 years ago

Really tasty. Can definitely taste the caramel and dark fruits with a slight nuttiness. — 10 years ago
Groovy spice and moss on the nose leads to a huge blueberry chocolate first blush front mouth sensation that performs a lava-like spread latching and lingering then oddly finishing with a clean freefall leaving one to ponder the front end remnants and, of course, take another swig! It's way big, so, pace proportionately. Also, it's a bit spun-up so decant and let it unravel itself, for the win/win of it all...
PS Isa's Bistro @ one Battery Park in timeless Asheville (previously Vijay's Flying Frog). Great place to chase away the traildust of a full-benefit day on the Harley catching the mountain colors of Autumn living the essence of NC's mountains to the sea...✌🏻️&💙💚🌀 — 11 years ago

An industry favorite here in Santa Barbara wine country! — 10 years ago
What a great vintage this turning out to be...the hot, dry(er) summer brought a nice balance of sugar and acid. This was wisely Merlot heavy (60%), lending to cherry notes. However, the Merlot is sturdy alto that allows the PV and CF to harmonize their tenor cords. This was from some delightful place between Rhone and the Right Bank :) Well done and a Superb Value at 22$ — 10 years ago
Very good beer! Fresh, lime, fruity! — 11 years ago
Deep colors, dark garnet, blackberry, oak tones. Very very nice. — 12 years ago
Sold!! Way better than his previous Temps, Leroy has mastered Spanish varietals. No hints of sweaty socks, which in my book is good. Dark plum action with a tinge of sagebrush overtones and slight nuance of French oak. $36 / 92pts — 13 years ago
