Bastianich

Flor Brut Glera Pinot Nero Rosé

What to say other than this was so good? A touch of sweetness balanced the otherwise seering acidity, making this satisfyingly refreshing, and it was so flavorful. A personal favorite prosecco of late. — 11 years ago

Bodega Del Desierto

Desierto25 Malbec 2010

Dear Uruguayan sommelier in the random restaurant on Avenida Santa Fe, thank you for introducing us to this dark, voluptuous fruit of the Patagonian desert (see photo of the earth of the vineyard on the label). Self judgment aside, it can only be described as tantamount to drinking velvet. Lush, liquid, aniseedy velvet. Muchisimas gracias, Leah — 12 years ago

Equipo Navazos

Navazos-Niepoort Vino Blanco Palomino Fino 2011

Intriguing experimental white wine. Spain in origin with Portuguese and Spanish winemaking partnership. Mineral, almond, white blossoms and apple skin notes. Fresh on the palate ans sherry like in flavor without the bitterness from the flor of a Fino sherry. Tasted great the second evening matching the profile with a little more depth and freshness. #niepoort — 13 years ago
