Looks a bit like a nebbiolo in the glass. Getting my nose in there presents me with tobacco, leather, a good bit of alcohol, a touch of potpourri and some candied red fruits. Is that peppermint?? Who cares it is amazing. Like other brunellos I've encountered this one keeps giving, continuously changing every time I go back for more.
Flushing my mouth with black cherry and luscious ripe reds and blacks lead by fresh bright acidity, the flavors quickly change to deep dark cocoa and tobacco with jammy blacks as soon as it's gone. Soft polished tannins round out any remaining acidity to just leave you satisfied(but welcoming more). Pumped I finally got to try this. Thanks to master somms Jay Fletcher and Fred Dame for leaving me a full glass in the bottle. Cheers! — 8 years ago

Translucent Ruby color and medium bodied. Red berry and tobacco notes leading to a silky smooth light-medium tannic finish. Delicious, easy drinking 'baby' Barolo - I say baby Barolo as it is surprisingly light bodied for a Barolo. Love it! — 8 years ago

This is a true reflection of Brian and the Margaret River, classic black current spice with a hint of mulberry with a hard and persistent oak counterpart. All you need on a Saturday Night whilst watching a shit movie. — 8 years ago
displays some typical Chardonnay notes of white peach, melon rind, nougat and lemon zest with some caramelised orange, Turkish delight, sandalwood in the mix too. Fruit is ripe, but certainly note over ripe and the palate come acid profile has some salinity to it providing tension and freshness, matched by a deliciously long finish. — 8 years ago
Great age on this wine, showing excellent balance between primary, secondary and tertiary. — 9 years ago
