Very smooth! Enjoyed on December 24, 2018 — 5 years ago
On the nose, more concentration in the fruits. Black raspberries, raspberries, cherries, strawberries, watermelon, chewing gum and pink roses & florals. Palate is richer/thicker, more concentrated than the Masseria. Cherries, strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, well done chalkiness...not over done, fine medium intensity volcanic minerals with a rich, round, ripe, beautiful acid finish. Delicious. — 7 years ago
Who says 2011 was a bad year? Beautiful garnet from the glass. Elegant floral and blue fruit on the nose. Deep blueberry, black berry and currant tastes on the palate. Excellently structured with sweet tannins and beautiful acidity. These grapes come from a great Oakville neighborhood. Great family owned winery! — 8 years ago

Opened Thursday night and enjoyed a glass, but it was even better when we finished the bottle Friday evening. — 11 years ago
The darker side of Rivers Marie. Where all of the Occidental bottlings share red fruited characteristics this is more black fruits and fresh earth. The supporting acidity and the hours it still takes to open up give me hope that it should continue to develop in bottle. — 5 years ago
Strong apple and Chardonnay taste but delicious! Less bubbly than prosecco. Very enjoyable. — 6 years ago
☄️ Yes please. The missus says "Makes me want to eat and drink all night", I say floral, velvety and perfectly balanced. Either way, 👌. — 7 years ago

Love everything from Rivers-Marie. Distinctive style emphasizing purity of fruit and elegance. Fruit is from parcels on the edge of the Bearwallow vineyard. Brambly red and purple fruit with notes of white flower, white pepper, and a touch of eucalyptus. Complex and elegant. Suggest cellaring for 5 -7 years to get the full experience. 2018 vintage on Mar 26, 2020 — 4 years ago
