For the first time since I could remember I actually had a wine transport me! Pintia wine is magical!! I felt like I was sitting by a fire somewhere in Colorado. Amazing! This was a 2010 vintage and it was magnificent. It had a dark crimson red color and strong earthy notes. Gamey and meaty on the nose, almost as if someone had brought a huge plate of steak to the table. Dark fruits such as plums and cherries on the palate. Medium acids and tannins as if they didn't even exist, that's how balanced and structured this wine is. Hints of vanilla from the oak and a long finish! Can't say enough about this wine! Glad I'm closing out my summer with this hearty and powerful wine! — 10 years ago

Ahhhh, a Provence Rose! It's a very warm night...82F and I'm sitting by my fire...so the perspiration is accumulating and I'm drinking a refreshing Rose that is perfect for a night like this! This Chateau La Moutete Grande Reserve is peach colored, with notes of very light florals, watermelon, and a Sauv Blanc-ness to it that reminds me of grapefruit on the nose. on the palate I get strawberry, black licorice, and a hint of basil. This wine is slightly acidic, especially on the finish (again, reminding me of a soft Sauv Blanc). No tannins, and a grape-fruity finish at the end.   Even though my beloved Red Sox are losing to the Skankees tonight, I'm enjoying this fantastic wine! — 11 years ago

Nice color of shades of purple, a bit hazy, and a bit bloody red. Nose of nice leather, sweet oak, dried strawberry, sugar plum, and cherry. Taste is warm, leathery, cranberries, zesty, dried strawberries, and a tiny bit of hickory note. Aftertaste is smooth, basically no tannins, a bit zesty, a bit oaky, and medium long. She is lighter compared to usual Shiraz from Aussie. Overall, she is a tasty wine and enjoy her now. — 9 years ago
