The 2018 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is an absolutely gorgeous appellation-level wine. The purity of the flavors alone is just stunning. Sweet red cherry, mint and blood orange take on shades of translucence. Light on its feet and yet beautifully layered, the 2018 has so much going on. It is an elegant and alluring wine from the first taste. Vineyard sites are Radian, Spear, La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict. Don’t miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2020)

Seems like Chanin Wines need a few years to really incorporate and this Rinconada Vineyard from 2014 seemed to be getting right into that spot. Chuggable while complex, with layers of high toned fruit, savory tannins, and super balanced acidity — 5 years ago
Moderately saturated ruby color. On the nose its very perfumed, reminiscent of rose petals, black cherry, and black tea with a sharp minty note and hints of forrest floor. On the palate, its voluptuous in style with impressive structure and length. Its sourced from grapes farmed on steep southwest facing slopes with a view of the Pacific Ocean and access to its cooling breezes. The Santa Rita Hills is one of the great New World appellations for Pinot Noir with other great vineyards like Sea Smoke, La Rinconada, Sanford & Benedict, and Fiddlestix sitting below Rita's Crown. I love this appellation and Bevan's big style. RP $75. — 8 years ago
