2004 Pegau. Always great. My favorite wine. Give me a vertical of Pegau on a desert island and I am happy. The family preferred the Cab so I enjoyed almost all of this delicious 04. Fighting with my waiter for the last pour in the bottle. Not the greatest vintage but so well balanced and intergrated flavors tonight. The seaweed/barnyard nose was just perfect with my steak at 910. — 11 years ago

This is an utterly fantastic wine! Developing nose with coing aromas, white peaches and flowers. Fresh, clean, sharp attack on the palate with zesty, lively body, some tannins, but overly rich and structured. Easy to drink although this is a more of a food wine type. Long finish with salty elements, perhaps the "lees" fighting back the delicacy and savoury elements out there? I am well impressed and very well satisfied! — 11 years ago

Short but intense. Rounded and dusty dry at the same time. It seems like the Shiraz and Mataro are fighting each other. — 11 years ago
