Full body - like a power SB - tho chard color — 10 years ago
Picked up at the winery a couple years ago from the man himself. Like the name says, a charmer -- but not as profound as his signature reserva. — 11 years ago

Marc Hebrart Cuvée de Réserve Premier Cru Brut Champagne à Mareuil-sur-Ay | Dégorgé le 04 janvier 2013 | 12% | Terry Theise says the fruit of Mareuil Pinot Noir is unlike any he knows in Champagne: “firmer and less malty than Aÿ, altogether less chunky than Bouzy, not unlike Verzy but richer, far more comme il faut than the savage power of Verzenay, less softly perfumey than Ambonnay, less smoky than Cumières. Indeed if it were Burgundy, Mareuil could well be Morey-St.-Denis.” Which might be why I love this so –and for its swooning scent of rye dough and bright Mirabelle plum which speaks of the fruity pumpernickel of the Vallée de la Marne within Champagne –even though it doesn’t have any Pinot Meunier –chalky, tangy with apple skin tannins and a chirping texture and fragrantly flavored finish, this is LOVELY! — 12 years ago
Brilliant wine, salty, bread dough, with caramel and roasted nuts. The oxidized component here impeccably weaves the aromas, flavors and offsets with enough freshness to keep things light on their feet. A long, clean and focused finish. #sherry #palocortado #casilla — 10 years ago
Lovely, super sweet, soy sauce, pour it over a good vanilla ice cream. Don't let the naughty aunties at it — 10 years ago
Awesome Rioja. Powerful wine with a long finish. — 11 years ago
Great, light white wine but with some body - mostly Grenache blanc and Roussanne, which gives it a slightly fruity and honey flavor but well balanced. Not too sweet. — 11 years ago
A fantastic gsm that goes very well with Thanksgiving food fare. You will really like it. — 12 years ago
A tasty pinot meunier dominant blanc de noirs. Terry Theise drank this last night. — 12 years ago
Beautifull nose and absolutely a wine to keep, it will age gracefully. — 10 years ago
Wonderful nicely aged Rioja. Brickish brownish red. Almost opaque. Wonderful briary nose of red fruit and a little anise. With air the mouthfeel built and matched the great nose. Med plus finish. — 10 years ago
2013 vintage. Tasted with Terry today. Will be a great wine but needs 6-12 months time to develop. Big aroma of alluring sandalwood spice and bing cherry — 10 years ago
This is going to be amazing in a few years from now @remirezdeganuza — 11 years ago

A testament to the ageability of quality producers at even entry level Mosel Qmp. In the glass, still some silver and green. Low alc, so obviously little tearing (I keep hearing tearing is viscosity, but from a chemistry standpoint, it's rate of alcohol evaporation). Acidity, so on point and defining. Chemical petrol wafts off, dried moss, oregano, candied orange peel, zest, orange blossom...it kind of shows off for a while.
For $25 from a Terry Theise pre-sale, this is a goddamned steal. I'd pay twice this and smile while doing it. Buy it by the case, where you can find it. — 10 years ago
