Lemon, oak, wet stone. Love the mouthfeel--velvety chocolate milk texture. Paired with lobster in tarragon sauce, which were great together. White Burgundy always reminds me of melting snow in the spring. — 7 years ago
This 02 took some time to open up but it really blossomed. Lots of barnyard on the nose and great berries - blueberries, blackberries and strawberries. Very well integrated wine with nice balance — 9 years ago
Bright and rich. Pear and daisys. Wonderful — 9 years ago

Little oxi in the glass but great on the palate. Lovely way to start the evening for sure. — 11 years ago

A beautiful expression of fruit that exudes minerality and purity. Pears and clean gravel on the palette; the single best “Chardonnay” my wife has tasted!! — 6 years ago

Silky tannins with bright acidity. Drinks like an elegant Pinot noir when comparing to any Pinot from U.S. Pairs great with gruyere and roasted chicken. It stands up to bold flavors in a dish. — 9 years ago
A stunning wine from Pillot showing great breadth in mouthfeel but also a harmony between acidity and richness with integrated oak — 10 years ago
Best paired with Leo in The Revenant....I was instructed by the salesperson at the wine shop to let this open up for 20 minutes "to get past the hairy armpit stage" and to even decant it. Hmm okay? I think any Burgundian would disagree with the decanting bit so I just popped it and let it breathe a while. This had great structure. Oak and alcohol on the nose. Velvety on the palette with Earth and some remaining essence of oak. — 10 years ago
Brillant focus and long. That slight reduction is great. — 11 years ago

A 2021 check-in on this bottle today, still holding well to prior notes:
Nose has lightly oxidized yellow apple, under-ripe papaya, pineapple core, cold butter and dry sandstone.
Palate has ripe pineapple core, lemon zest, (light) vanilla creme, pear puff pastry, yellow apple peel with slightly sweet notes to the medium finish.
Decanted 4H. — 5 years ago
