Pedersdorfer '76 - blend of Traminer, Bouvier, and Neuburger. These old birds just keep on surprising! Granted, '76 was an amazing year but this exceeds expectations, given the mixed success of the producer. A stunning bright gold bar polished with pure sunlight - it runs evenly down the glass - light stickiness matched by a visually tangible layer of acidity. A nose if honeysuckle, pale young limes, rose-hips, and kumquats; gloriously balanced acidity with sparks of fructose and tightly packed bitterness, enveloped in a cloak of freshness and youth. I've had 3-year old wines that have felt older than this 40-year young baby! — 8 years ago

Two words: Elegance and finesse.
Like a tennis player performing the perfect slice instead of going for the smash. Like a heavyweight fighter dancing around, jabbing a thousand times, even though he could go for the KO any time.
For us good wine making comes down to two simple words: elegance and finesse. In this case it means not pumping the wine till it almost bursts just because you can, but to balance it perfectly. The acidity is there. The power is there. The spice is there. The fruit is there.
So, thank you Jürgen Krebs! This wine didn't only go perfect with tonights bbq, this cool grown grape juice also matched the summer evening like a match made in heaven. — 8 years ago

Just had a very nice red Txakoli at Bar Ferdinand in Philly for the first time & was recommended another one at David Bouley's Brushstroke in NYC... While both were very good, I liked this one a little more for its depth & complexity...and it went well with the duck dish we were having... 👉🍴🍷👍 — 10 years ago

Slightly bitter Bret intermingled with slightly tropical hop flavors. Not too big or overpowering, either. A nice balance is achieved in this medium-bodied brew. Well done. — 9 years ago
