Made from 80 years old Cariñena and Garnacha 50/50 blend.
Great nose with black and blue berries, plums, a touch vanilla, authum forrest, spices from the Porrea hills, drinking this wine 8 times over the last 10 years and is now fully mature the hard edges are gone and has mellowed out, still full bodied, well balanced and smooth tannins, nice mineral touch, long aftertaste..... Farm to Barrel Farmer's Reserve Pluot. Great sourness upon first taste, pluot flavor present, but not overwhelming. Funky finish with a taste of bread. Great funky and sour beer. I think I took a better photo this time. — 10 years ago

Not the best vintage, but this is classic Napa Cabernet. A classic nose, the palate is great, mid-afternoon is amazing and then things get awkward on the finish with dry brittle tannins. Still a good effort though. The Togni style is rooted in the old world as the senior Philip is a Brit. His daughter Lisa now makes the wines but they are of the same family tree for sure. Philip remarkably made the Chappellet wines in the early years and set a reputation there of superb quality and classicism. Looking for a top Napa Cabernet? Togni is one of the best and well priced. They drink well young, but superbly with time. #puritydefined — 10 years ago
