I am I the mood for some Pinot tonight and so I am opening some French Pinot Noir I purchased for roughly $20.99. I am very happy for this selection. The nose is has very nice aromas of strawberry, cranberry, herbal essence and wet soil. The first taste has brought out those wonderful burgundy flavors of strawberry, red raspberry, the herbal notes continue through to the finish. There are fine mushroom and cloves with bits of cinnamon and a medium acidity that brings it all the way back round to a well balanced bottle of wine. If you can find this and at this price point don't hesitate to pick it up. — 11 years ago
The essence of ripe cherries and strawberries invade every nook and cranny of this wine. Extremely silky and smooth in the mouth which produces a finish that reminded me of the horizon when you are looking out from the deck of a boat, just does not quit. — 11 years ago

1996 vintage Salon (Blanc de Blancs). Disgorged 2010. Pale gold. Ripe nose of stone fruits and red apples, vanilla essence, some chocolate / butterscotch and apple sauce. Apricot from the ripeness. On the palate, this has weight, concentration, huge acidity and a sour stone fruit character with mineral hit. Clos Ste Hune Riesling on crack. Great bubble fineness. Long sour finish that I love. Great wine. Could age for half a century with the concentration and acidity profile. — 11 years ago
