This is a Galician (Rias Baixas) grape sometimes referred to as "Caíño Redondo", but not the same as the Espadeiro of Portugal that is made into a red Vinho Verde. Anyway it is damn good, kind of like Mencía, but also like a cross between a Bourgogne and a Tannat minus the big tannins. Really interesting. — 9 years ago

The texture is new to me, so I can't really describe it. Very enjoyable, and it went well with my pork dinner. — 11 years ago
